Hachi-Hachi
立呑処 ハチハチ
A short walk from the Hankyu Juso east exit, Hachi-Hachi is a small standing bar of about 22 spots, terrace included, run by a woman manager and an upbeat crew. The room is white and wood, with barrel tables and a counter. It's an easy place to walk into alone.
Food is the draw. Reviewers name the oden, the fried chicken (the house 'hachi-kara') and a seafood platter. Small plates start around ¥200, highballs ¥350 and draft beer ¥380, so a relaxed round fits in ¥1,000–2,000.
On weekends it opens at noon, which makes it a decent first stop in Juso. Tabelog lists it as non-smoking.
