open air Kobe Motomachi

Two floors three minutes from Motomachi: a counter downstairs and twelve taps of their own beer, worked with seasonal hops and herbs. It isn't brewed here — it comes from OpenAir's Minatoyama brewery over in Hyogo-ku, inside NATURE STUDIO, a converted primary school.

There's a street-side window selling cans to people just passing. It's also the only place on this list that isn't independently owned — a joint venture between Murakami Koumuten and World-One Group.
