Tachinomi Ruu-chan

In the Piazza arcade under the Hankyu tracks, Ruu-chan runs on a beautiful principle: a whole tier of the menu — draft beer included — costs ¥380. The daily sashimi changes with the market, the hormone-and-beansprout 'bomb' stir-fry is what everyone orders second, and the premium tripe with ponzu is better than anything ¥380 has a right to be.
It's standing only, brighter and friendlier than the genre usually allows, with a foot-level ledge for your bag — a small detail that tells you they've thought about you. Cash only, no reservations, and when it fills up there's a hidden annex (the 'hanare') in a basement around the corner.
