Stand Sanji 2nd

A standing bar where the sashimi is suspiciously good for the price — most of the fish comes from the waters around Awaji Island, and on some days the owner's own catch is on the board. The ¥690 assorted platter is the order; follow it with the meat sushi and one of the fruit sours (there's an 'ultra kiwi' one).

It's twenty people max, everyone standing, and the shop calls itself a place for connecting people — which checks out: stand here twice and you're a regular. There's a senbero set — three drinks for about ¥1,100, plus one snack you order alongside — if you want the classic budget ritual.

Two quirks: closed Tue–Wed, and there's no toilet inside — go before you arrive. The original Stand Sanji is a few doors west, and Ruu-chan is in the same arcade — this block is a ready-made hashigo.
