TRIANGLE is the modern version of the oldest Kobe drinking format: the kakuuchi — drinking inside the shop you bought it from. Up to eight taps, all Japanese craft and heavy on Kansai, plus a fridge of 80-to-100 bottles and cans, drunk standing at the counter under handwritten chalkboard notes on every beer's origin and flavor.

Maemura-san spent three years at Kobe's own Rokko Beer before opening this place as 'a bridge between small breweries and drinkers', and it drinks exactly like that: ask him anything, or order the ¥1,500 three-glass flight and let the board decide.

It opens at 13:00, you can bring in outside food, and on the fourth Saturday of the month a handmade market fills the park next door — the correct Saturday to come.
